Travel Partnerships and Media helps partners deliver excellent traveller and B2B experiences, driving growth for them and the EG marketplace through competitive supply, a valued advertising and travel media network, and affiliate solutions.

The Car Partner Solutions team sits within the Travel Partnerships and Media organization and powers car rental offers on the Expedia Group Platform.  The key purpose of this role is to grow and protect the health of car supply through the entire life cycle.  The Car Partner Solutions Senior Specialist will be responsible for complex root cause analysis and leading projects in line with the larger team’s mission, representing the team while working closely with partner teams, supply partners, and other stakeholders as needed.

In this role you will: 

  • Deliver world class customer experience on Expedia Group sites by reducing errors, protecting the health of existing supply and launching new content while maintaining quality for all functions.
  • Act as team lead for new feature and product launches through configuration of new content and rigorous testing processes.
  • Perform in-depth research and investigation of complex car issues and drive root cause analysis to issue resolution.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with internal and external while handling escalations, inquiries, and supporting the rollout of new features and products
  • Provide consultative expertise for various teams relating to site content, capabilities and performance.
  • Identify and lead projects to improve operational efficiency through extensive understanding of the business and technical foundations of the car business.
  • Establish and document processes, develop workarounds, and contribute to an environment of continuous improvement by coaching, mentoring and providing recommendations to more junior team members.
  • Drive prioritization of projects and key initiatives through the collection and analysis of supporting data.
  • Actively contribute to business intelligence through the creation of self-service reporting for stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a technical or technical operations role with proven technical experience, such as writing or interpreting programming languages, XML or APIs.
  • You have excellent problem solving and analytical skills with proven experience resolving complex issues with attention to detail.
  • You have the ability communicate with stakeholders by tailoring technical and complex information to your audience using methods from in-person interactions to various digital methods.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to establish and adhere to priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You can work effectively in diverse group settings as well as independently.
  • You are self-motivated, take initiative and drive tasks to resolution with little oversight.
  • Preferred: You can create, modify and run SQL queries.
  • Preferred: You know how to interpret information in either Amadeus or Titanium.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve operational efficiency and automation.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $78,500.00 to $110,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $125,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
