Job description

Job Title: Experienced Commercial Insurance Administrative Assistant

Location: Remote (Work from Home)

Wage: $6 USD - $10 USD / hr

Schedule: 20-40 hrs/week

VirtueStaff is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Administrative Assistant to support one of our valued clients. This role is essential for managing administrative functions in the commercial insurance sector to ensure smooth operations and outstanding service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial insurance, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Collect essential information from clients to facilitate underwriting review and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Proactively connect with clients well in advance of their renewal dates to gather necessary information and ensure seamless policy continuity.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering strong, long-term relationships.
  • Assist with the processing of commercial insurance applications and policy documentation.
  • Maintain and organize client files, policy records, and compliance documentation.
  • Create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every task within the business. These SOPs will serve as critical training materials for new hires across all aspects of our operations.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance carriers regarding coverage inquiries and policy status.
  • Prepare and edit reports, proposals, and correspondence related to commercial insurance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes relevant to commercial insurance to ensure compliance and effective client advice.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role within the commercial insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and terminology
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Applied Epic, and other insurance management software
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines

  • Experience in a remote work environment is preferred
