Responsibilities

Lead all accounting operations for the Cyprus entity, ensuring compliance with Cyprus GAAP and IFRS
Manage and coordinate internal and external accounting resources, overseeing daily bookkeeping, payroll, and tax activities
Prepare and submit statutory financial statements and tax returns (e.g., VAT, CIT) accurately and on time
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
Review and validate payroll calculations, allowances, and related employee payments, in collaboration with a third-party payroll provider
Oversee and improve month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting to the global finance team
Provide data-driven financial insights and recommendations to senior management
Drive process improvements, automation, and stronger internal controls within the accounting function
Ensure proper documentation and audit trails, in line with local and international compliance standards
Work closely with HR, Legal, and global finance teams to support business needs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or a similar qualification is a strong plus
5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
In-depth knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor law
Experience working with IFRS and reporting in international or tech-driven companies
Proven experience managing audits, preparing financial statements, and handling tax inspections
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and collaborate cross-functionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus
Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal
Highly detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organizational abilities
