X2O Media is looking for a creative Product Designer to join our development team. The successful candidate has a wide range of experience developing consumer application UIs and will be responsible for the product design of our digital signage product (OneVu).
The X2O Media software development team consists of highly skilled software professionals across the entire development lifecycle who build outcome-based products in a community spirit based on knowledge sharing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the product to effectively improve the product’s design.
  • Contribute to the design process by gathering requirements, planning and ideating from the start of a project.
  • Work with developers and other partners to collaborate on design ideation and ensure high-quality implementations.
  • Based on business requirements from the product team, design flows & UI that are consistent with modern best practices
  • Ensure consistency of product design and the X2O brand across our different products
  • Use and expand X2O’s UI library and design system, in close collaboration with the product and development teams
  • Provide feature designs based on product feature definitions from product management, including:
    • User flows
    • Mockups
    • Wireframes
    • UI designs
    • Prototypes
  • Ensure that designs follow the X2O methodology, including:
    • Product design best practices are followed
    • Internal stakeholder product expectations are met
    • Close collaboration between teams
    • Adheres to WCAG / VPAT
    • Schedules are met
  • Be an advocate to X2O users, understand their needs and contexts
  • Help grow the team and elevate design within the company.
Qualifications

  • Depth and quality of your experience is more important than years. That said, successful candidates typically have at least 5+ years of design experience.
  • Skill in and understanding of graphic design (layout, typography, color, illustration).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Perfectionism with the experience (polish, readability, accessibility, performance).
  • Experience working in or with Software as a Service (SaaS) companies.
  • Experience with Pro AV product design
  • Experience with modern UI/UX collaborative design tools for creating, prototyping, and testing user interfaces such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Miro
  • Experience leveraging a UI library and design system
  • Experience with WCAG / VPAT (accessibility)
  • Experience iterating in an Agile/Scrum development cycle
