Solutions Product Manager

This is a great role to join the established and high-performing Product Management team at Vax. Reporting to the Head of Solutions, the Product Manager will take responsibility for managing and developing a portfolio of products across the EMEA region, ensuring you exceed market impact, sales and margin targets, whilst championing the consumer and brand.

Once in the role, you will become an expert in your category, and through personal experience,e you will build your knowledge to become the company expert. At Vax, we build our products based on consumer insights and data, which will become a foundational element of your plans.

Day to Day

• Category Sales-out & Commercial Performance – develop a deep understanding of sales-out across assigned categories for all Vax products and surrounding competitors, linking and influencing impact to P&L to achieve commercial targets.
• Consumer Insight – working with the Insight team to create, support, and manage necessary insight studies and workshops to gain a deep understanding of category or product areas to support and challenge the development process and key decisions.
• Market & Trends – develop a full understanding of market dynamics and trends through an integrated use of market data, competitor intelligence, and channel / general research.
• Roadmap Management – working closely with department stakeholders across Vax to develop and promote existing and required product roadmaps, identify range gaps, proactively identifying new opportunities, and commercialising the roadmap
• New Product Definition – linking to the roadmap, define & evolve product definition via MRD documents (marketing requirement definition), combining and balancing key considerations, performance, consumer experience, technical & cost, etc.
• New Product Development – working closely with NPD teams at Techtronic Industries (TTI) North America and our UK & China-based supplier partners to manage projects through key development stages, business case approvals, and necessary meetings.
• Supplier Management – Take ownership of the relationship with our UK-based suppliers, ensuring access to the latest product innovation at the right prices & on the right terms for Vax
• New Product Launch & Campaign – utilising developed meeting structures and cadence, promoting and guiding products through the process alongside key surrounding Commercial, Marketing & Creative function,s coordinating key launch elements inc assets and content.
• Product Collateral – Manage and take pride in the delivery of the relevant product collateral, digital content, user guides, machine graphics & comms, carton artwork etc.
• Presentations – Present product and category strategy to internal and external stakeholders, including range reviews/launches to key customers etc.

What We Need From You

• The ability to form productive working relationships internally and externally to build your brand and become a trusted partner with the Product Management team.
• Demonstrable experience of building product categories that drive performance & stay ahead of the competition.
• Experience successfully managing supplier relationships, sourcing the right products at the right price on the right commercial terms in a sustainable way
• Great commercial acumen. You understand the key commercial metrics in business & you’re comfortable getting into the details. You know the levers to pull to influence the numbers to achieve the right commercial result.
• A passion for understanding customers and using that knowledge to create product ranges that customers love
• Comfortable communicating at all levels. In this role, you will have regular exposure to the senior leadership team at Vax.
• A self-starter who’s comfortable taking ownership of projects, identifying what needs to be done next, building the plan & taking the initiative to make it happen.
• Skilled user of Powerpoint and Excel
• To quickly learn and understand your given market and become a functional expert.
