Job Title: Financial Controller – SaaS, Hardware, and Global Operations

Location: Remote / Toronto / Dubai / Flexible

Reports To: CFO / CEO

Experience Required: 7–8 years minimum



About the Company


We are a fast-scaling SaaS and telematics company operating globally under multiple brands. Our business combines recurring SaaS revenue with hardware distribution, and we work across Canada, Dubai, Mexico, and other global markets. We use Zoho Books, Stripe, Zoho CRM, and vendor platforms to manage license provisioning, billing, and customer data.


We are seeking a Financial Controller who can drive strong financial controls, optimize automation, and guide strategic financial decision-making across our international operations.

Key Responsibilities


Financial Oversight & Reporting


  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings across all global entities.
  • Own departmental budget vs. actual analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Maintain financial controls and ensure timely reporting to executive leadership.



SaaS & Subscription Revenue Management


  • Track and optimize MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, and revenue recognition.
  • Reconcile SaaS revenue from Stripe, Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, and partner platforms.
  • Ensure proper mapping of customer subscriptions to licensing and cost structures.


COGS, Vendor, and Hardware Control


  • Track and reconcile hardware COGS across countries (e.g., China, Mexico).
  • Oversee vendor payments and maintain contract compliance with licensing partners.
  • Work with operations to track inventory and optimize procurement.


Finance Automation & Systems


  • Drive automation across Zoho Books, Stripe, and related tools.
  • Build dashboards or reports for internal cost controls and financial visibility.
  • Improve reconciliation between CRM, billing systems, and accounting.


Multi-Entity Management


  • Handle intercompany billing, transfer pricing compliance, and country-level reporting.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors in Canada, UAE, Mexico, and other regions.
  • Lead documentation for audits and tax filings globally.


Operational & Team Leadership


  • Oversee AR/AP teams and provide support for customer finance inquiries.
  • Provide financial guidance to project, implementation, and success teams.

Qualifications


  • 7–10 years of experience in finance, with at least 4+ years in SaaS or tech companies.
  • Deep knowledge of Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, and Stripe workflows.
  • Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations.
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong command of SaaS metrics and recurring revenue recognition.
  • Hands-on experience implementing financial automation or reporting systems.
  • Understanding of hardware COGS, vendor management, and supply chain finance is a plus.


Hard-to-Find Must-Haves


  • Reconciliation across SaaS billing platforms and accounting software.
  • Comfort with multi-entity reporting, currency, and transfer pricing.
  • Skill in process automation, tool integration, and dashboarding.
  • Ability to manage globally distributed teams and finance operations.
  • Hands-on mindset: willing to dig into numbers but can also present to execs.
