Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, the  Payroll Analyst is responsible for oversee and execute payroll processes for employees in Mexico and Colombia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll transactions, acting as a key liaison between HR, Finance and external payroll vendors. 

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Manage the full payroll cycle: collect, validate and input payroll-related data and ensure timely payment of salaries.
  • Coordinate with external payroll vendors to ensure accurate calculations and timely submissions of social security contributions, taxes, and other statutory requirements.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance and document procedures and ensure internal controls are in place.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and authorities, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing payroll in Mexico and Colombia.
  • Deep knowledge of local labor, tax, and social security regulations in both countries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience working within multicultural, international teams, including collaboration with Finance and HR business partners.
  • Intermediate English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, validations, formulas).
