Admissions Counselor: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations for patients seeking treatment.  
  • Gather data from patient through interviews, standardized assessments and other evaluation tools; analyze and interpret the data 
  • Utilize expertise in counseling or related field for appropriate program recommendation 
  • Treatment Planning – Collaborate with the patient to develop initial treatment plans, identifying and prioritizing problems, goals, and treatment methods. 
  • Review Treatment Program expectations with patients 
  • Ensure admission tasks and documentation is complete 

 
Required Qualifications: 

  • Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or higher
  • or student enrolled in a course of study while completing a practicum or internship 
  • or working toward social work or professional counseling licensure 
  • or working toward full certification in addictions counseling or co-occurring counseling by the state Certification Board or a nationally recognized certification organization. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent computer skills and a demonstrated comfort with technology 
  • Excellent organizational skills 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2 Year Substance Abuse/Addiction and/or Mental Health experience  
  • Additional relevant certifications (e.g., CADC, LPC, LCSW)
