We’re looking for a sharp, organized, and strategic freelance content planner to build a comprehensive Social Content Calendar that maps out key moments, cultural pegs, and content opportunities across an entire calendar year.

Your Goal
  • To build a robust, forward-looking Social Content Calendar that:
  • Serves as a long-term planning tool for our social team
  • Maps out recurring, date-specific cultural moments (e.g. album anniversaries, celebrity birthdays, historic pop culture events)
  • Reduces scrambling and last-minute posts
  • Enables better cross-functional collaboration with editorial, video, design, and sales
  • Streamlines creative workflows and asset production

  • What You'll Do
  • Audit our current content calendar and planning workflows
  • Build a comprehensive 12-month calendar identifying: album anniversaries, celebrity birthdays, culturally relevant milestones + more. Seasonal moments and platform-specific content trends, brand tentpoles and major initiatives, + Identify opportunities for editorial, video, and sales integration.
  • Deliver the calendar in Asana, optimized for usability and automation
  • Provide easy-to-follow documentation and guidance so the team can maintain and lightly update the calendar throughout the year

  • What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in social media strategy and editorial content planning
  • Deeply in tune with the cultural zeitgeist—especially hip-hop, style, internet culture, + pop culture moments—with an instinct for what belongs on the calendar
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Deep understanding of digital culture and the social media landscape
  • Must have experience with Asana
  • A proactive mindset and eye for cultural storytelling

  • Deliverables
  • Fully built-out, yearlong Social Content Calendar in Asana
  • Strategic planning framework for recurring annual reuse
  • Final documentation and a Loom walkthrough to ensure a smooth handoff

  • NOTE
  • This is not a full-time or part-time employment opportunity. It is a one-time, contract-based project with a fixed flat rate. Rate will be agreed upon before the start of the project, along with an estimated delivery date.
