We are looking for a passionate and experienced HR Business Partner (Maternity Leave Replacement) to join our fast-growing startup at our New York office.

As the sole HRBP on-site, you will take a leading role in shaping the employee experience and driving strategic HR initiatives, with a strong focus on supporting our expanding Sales team. You'll deliver comprehensive, end-to-end HR solutions, ensuring alignment with both local and global business goals.

This role reports directly to our Global VP of HR and works closely with our international HR team.

What will you do: 

  • Partnership and Coaching: Serve as a trusted business partner to managers, offering coaching and guidance on HR best practices, performance management, employee development, and other people-related issues. 
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, handle grievances, mediate conflicts, and ensure that company policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly.
  • Compliance with Employment Laws: Ensure that the company's HR policies and practices align with legal requirements and industry standards. You will proactively address any compliance-related issues and implement necessary changes.
  • HR Policy Development and Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. This includes reviewing existing policies, making updates as needed, and creating new policies to address emerging HR challenges.
  • Employee Engagement Initiatives: Organize employee engagement initiatives such as workshops, recognition programs to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction. 
  • Collaboration with Other HR Functions: You will partner with Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development (L&D), and People Experience teams to support or implement people-related initiatives.
  • HR Systems and Benefits Administration:Serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS systems, with a strong emphasis on ADP platforms – a must. Ensure accurate data management, reporting, and system optimization to support HR operations and compliance.
  • Lead the administration of U.S. employee benefits programs – a must – including healthcare and 401(k). Provide guidance to employees, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and oversee effective vendor relationships and benefits communications.
  • Manage the Office Manager and oversee day-to-day site operations, helping to foster a vibrant, efficient, and people-first workplace environment.
  • Data Analysis and Recommendations: You will analyze HR processes and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and making actionable recommendations by leveraging data.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or relevant field required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, within the Tech industry or a Start-Up environment - a must!
  • ​​​​​​Experience working with ADP HRIS platforms - a must
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in administering U.S. employee benefits programs, including healthcare and 401(k) - a must
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Sales teams and driving their success - Advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and people skills, team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
