Job description

700Apps is looking for a talented and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organization’s systems and data by implementing effective cybersecurity measures. You will analyze security incidents, assess vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting investigations and analysis.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, policies, and procedures to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
  • Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to strengthen network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption methods.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in developing business continuity plans and incident response plans.
  • Document security incidents and updates in compliance with policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of network security protocols, encryption technologies, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
