Summary

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java to join our high-performing engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend systems that power our core applications.

As a Staff Engineer, you bring a wealth of experience and serve as a key technical leader. You’ll influence architectural direction, mentor other engineers, and drive best practices across the organization. Your problem-solving skills and technical leadership will be essential in tackling complex challenges, ensuring code quality, and contributing to the strategic evolution of our platforms.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 8+ years of experience building software applications in production environments.
• 5+ years of professional experience working with Java.

Required Technical Skills

• Expertise in Java 8+ and Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Proficient with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL) and efficient data access patterns.
• Skilled in developing and integrating APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Strong background in unit testing and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Awareness of security best practices (e.g., OWASP, OAuth).
• Experience in optimizing application performance, including caching and tuning.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
