Job description

Genesis10 is seeking a UI Developer for a 6 month contract position with a mortgage loan corporation located in McLean, VA. This position is open to remote.

Summary:
The UI Developer will work closely with business partners to deliver a Data Lineage platform for Investments and Capital Markets division (I&CM). This position will play an important role in driving activities in support of I&CM's Data Strategy. Candidates for this position will develop new applications to enhance and maintain I&CM's metadata used for lineage and information discovery. The project will be leveraging current data lineage tools and methodologies as well as innovating new concepts in data governance.

Candidates will be responsible for developing new and engaging UI components and screens. Looking for innovative candidates in an emerging field to engineer agile solutions. This position is responsible for the successful development, design, and documentation of UI methods of moderately complex data. Focus on representing data relationships in an easy-to-understand user-oriented format.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and create detailed technical specifications from which applications will be written
Gain understanding of business case and functionality expectations
Code and script applications
Follow coding standards and guidelines, and contribute to the standards
Deploying applications in a continuous delivery environment with automated testing
Compiling and assessing user feedback to identify end-user requirements and specifications and to improve software performance
Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
Complete tasks as assigned on time in a quality manner so that goals and milestones are achieved

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
4+ years of software development experience
Proficiency in React (preferred) or other UI Framework
Familiarity with backend API interactions (REST) and web servers
Solution-oriented and high-level programming skills
Ability to understand and write code documentation that conveys your solution to others
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize application for security and responsiveness
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively
Analytical skills and problem-solving
Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Familiarity with version control (e.g GitHub, GitLab)
Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
Understanding of application performance diagnostics and analytical tools
Knowledge of automated test frameworks
Mock oriented testing with positive and negative testing

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $58.00 - $60.00
