Salary Range: $115,000 to $157,000
Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. THE BIM TEAM
Our Building Information Modeling (BIM) team maximizes pre-construction efforts by visually defining a project prior to construction so that conflicts are identified early, and adjustments are made with minimal impact. From field sketches to BIM, installation drawings and as-builts, we get the job done right and provide the highest-level of BIM documentation each project needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Works directly and communicates clearly to Project Management, Field Management, BIM Coordinator, and BIM
- Manager on SOW and deliverables for the project. This includes but not limited to:
- Redlines when due to the BIM team
- Modeling/Coordination
- Signoffs for modeling
- Installation drawings
- As-builts for Model/installation drawings
- Any contradicting direction from different groups. Must bring all groups up to speed on directions given.
- Works with BIM Manager to develop BIM budgets for change orders or SOW changes.
- Delegates tasks and SOW to BIM Coordinators and BIM Operators including any sub-contractors.
- Create and maintain the BIM Rolling Schedule through the duration of the project.
- Inputs model population, coordination, and installation drawing sign off dates.
- Forecast work and hours needed to complete each task and hold operators accountable for meeting
- those deliverables.
- Communicates resource needs with BIM Manager
- Validates data in BIM Hub App and validates data in BIM summary for accuracy of project status.
- Send the BIM Performance summary page every 2 weeks on Monday to project team.
- Reviews Rolling Schedule for potential performance red flags with BIM Manager
- Understands general BIM cost codes and change order cost codes if applicable.
- Understands the difference between Change Orders, Field vs BIM internal changes/rework, and As-builts.
- Creates and maintains Installation drawing log.
- Manages dates and milestones in IDL for accuracy.
- Pushes Field team for dates when drawings are due for construction.
- Reviews IDL for potential performance red flags with BIM Manager
- Identify red flags in schedule that could impact deliverables. Including:
- Identifies if project has enough BIM resources according to schedule.
- Sign Offs after installs are due.
- Signed off models that still have clashes.
- Sign Offs after construction
- Additional work GC is requesting outside of SOW and/or change orders.
- RFI’s that affect BIM that are not addressed.
- Sets up project and keeps it maintained through the life cycle of project.
- Uses Corporate Revit template to start project.
- Identifies gaps in BIM standards and brings issues up to BIM Manager for direction.
- Download and uploads of files for BIM team to use.
- Attend necessary project meetings.
- Internal meetings.
- External Coordination meetings when BIM Coordinator not available.
- Design meetings if applicable.
- Identifies Skillset training needed for BIM Coordinators and BIM Operators.
- Works with BIM manager on scheduling of standards and skillset training
- Performs training when delegated to from a BIM Manager
- Understands BIM Workflow processes and BIM standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: None required
Experience: Five (5) years in electrical construction industry.
