Summer Internship: AI & Automation Intern

Rhino + Jetty is making housing more affordable and accessible for millions of renters every year with the industry’s leading security deposit platform. Founded in 2017, we pioneered security deposit insurance, allowing renters to replace costly upfront deposits with a low-cost insurance policy while ensuring property owners are protected.

In 2024, Rhino + Jetty expanded its platform with end-to-end deposit management, streamlining how security deposits and insurance solutions are administered. Today, our comprehensive suite of products – including security deposit insurance, cash security deposit management, lease guarantees, renters insurance, and loss of employment insurance – continues to transform the renting experience, making moving easier, more affordable, and more transparent for all.

We’re looking for a high-energy, technically curious intern to join us this summer to help supercharge internal workflows and build innovative automations across the business. You’ll work directly with our Chief Information Officer and collaborate with teams across Engineering, Marketing, Revenue, and Claims on high-impact, cross-functional projects.

This is a great opportunity for a technically inclined student to gain real-world startup experience, ship useful tools, and build a standout resume.

In this role, you will:

• Build landing pages, automations, integrations, and internal tools using AI and low-code/no-code platforms
• Explore and implement AI solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual work across departments
  
• Work cross-functionally to identify pain points and prototype creative, high-leverage solutions
  
• Iterate quickly based on real-time feedback
  
• Document and share learnings to help build internal best practices for automation and AI

We’re ideally seeking:

• A college student (junior/senior preferred) or recent grad with strong technical intuition—CS, engineering, or experience in no-code/automation environments
  
• Passionate about startups, AI, and building scrappy solutions that have real impact
  
• Familiar with tools like Zapier, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and Devin
  
• A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative settings
  
• Bonus: You’ve built something weird, fun, or genuinely useful with AI or automation tools
