About the role

Starting pay ~ $60,000 annually. We are proud to offer this competitive salary, with the final salary determined by geographic market rate for the selected candidate.

This role will work from home (WFH), and can be located in any state within the United States where Rise Against Hunger currently operates.

Position Summary

The Regional Philanthropy Manager is responsible for stewarding and growing donor relationships within an assigned region with a primary accountability for delivering Rise Against Hunger’s goals related to sharing -program impact and funding sustainability. This role will serve as the face of our organization for donors in the region, building and maintaining relationships with our stakeholders and partners and the philanthropic community. Additionally, the Regional Philanthropy Manager will support the Donor Engagement team continuing to build our funding base throughout the region through prospecting, acquisition and development of corporate partnerships. This role will collaborate heavily with all internal departments to drive regional fundraising success.

About the Team

Our team of Philanthropy Managers, work as the muscle of Rise Against Hunger through building lasting donor relationships with individuals and organizations. The RPM's focuses on fund development and fundraising and uses CRM’s to report on and track the clients that we have secured. The Regional Philanthropy Manager's directly impact the communities served by Rise Against Hunger with the donations and connections they build.

What You Will Own and Improve

Account Relationships and Fundraising:

You will reach / exceed ambitious fundraising goals through active prospecting and relationship development with current and potential partners. Deepen partnerships of assigned accounts: increase the number of engagement opportunities in-region while maintaining exceptional programmatic outcomes. Develop a robust, ongoing prospect list of 25-50 high-potential partners. Work collaboratively to research prospects and identify the correct contacts for outreach. Determine and qualify 25 new portfolio level prospects within assigned region each year. Meet weekly outreach and activity goals set by team leadership. Deepen engagement and grow existing accounts by 15%. Secure 10-15% new engagement within assigned region, and secure 240 approved face-to-face (zoom to zoom) visits per year, no fewer than 20 per month. Make all contacts necessary via phone, email, other, to achieve the above-mentioned results. Document all data necessary to track goals and opportunities through the timely submission of activity within the CRM, as required by internal policies. Develop, implement, and manage a productive, fluid portfolio of regional prospects through best practices. Meet all yearly revenue goals as set by Development leadership. Promote collaboration, recognizing our shared goals, and regularly collaborate with colleagues organization-wide. Strategically and deliberately educate our prospects, donors and other key stakeholders about our pathways to end hunger. Develop a detailed working knowledge of Rise Against Hunger’s funding priorities and campaigns.

Regional Development:

You will leverage local and regional development efforts to achieve fundraising goals by maximizing campaign efforts in the region. Represent Rise Against Hunger externally and cultivate a network of relationships within each of our stakeholder audiences. Provide donors with information and insights to elevate their initiatives and improve their overall philanthropy and giving business strategies. Travel with key partners to showcase our pathway projects, capture stories, and secure investment funding and mission gifts for Rise Against Hunger. Work with the Donor Engagement and Marketing teams to develop collateral that resonates with corporate donors and drives contributed revenue. Work closely with the Donor Engagement & Global Operations Teams to provide best in class execution of multi-site and large events meal packaging programs. Work in an account team structure to meet regularly to plan for partner engagement, ask strategies and ensure delivery of promised benefits. Prepare written proposals, renewal agreements, acknowledgments, Annual Impact Reports, and ensure compliance with Partner Relations protocols.

Requirements

  • Four-year college or university program certificate; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of sales/fundraising experience
  • Experience using and maximizing CRM tools, preferably Salesforce

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year experience in non-profit environment
  • Contract management experience
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio. Computer savvy to be able to easily pick up additional software programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently from general instructions and broad work expectations
  • Keen attention to detail as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Self-confident, flexible and adaptable and able to work collaboratively with a variety of staff
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com is strongly preferred.
