Job description

Symmetrio is seeking an experienced Cloud Pre-Sales Architect (Azure) to support our client, a multinational medical device company. This individual will play a critical role in providing support to the sales team and architecting cloud migration solutions to move their customers' on-premise healthcare systems to the cloud, utilizing Microsoft Azure. The Cloud Pre-Sales Architect plays a key customer-facing role, collaborating with the Cloud Team and Sales Teams to offer technical insights and strategic guidance throughout the sales cycle.

Additionally, this individual provides both pre-sales and post-sales support, conducting product demonstrations, analyzing workflows, and providing best practice recommendations to clients. They act as a bridge between various company divisions, including service, product management, and marketing. The Cloud Pre-Sales Architect must operate professionally within a team setting to strengthen the reputation of our Client’s cloud solutions in the medical field.

This is a full-time remote position with a base salary up to $150,000 and On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $220,000. The role requires approximately 50% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the VP and regional teams to identify and target customers requiring cloud hosting solutions.
  • Demonstrate Cloud products and assist in selecting the best configurations suited to customer needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations in accordance with company policies.
  • Serve as a technical resource in the pre-sales process to remove IT-related barriers and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the field sales force to drive cloud adoption within the oncology installed base.
  • Develop system architecture diagrams, RFP responses, and technical documentation to support cloud solution proposals.
  • Partner with IT stakeholders at hospitals, clinics, and health systems, including CIOs, CTOs, and technical engineering teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, and hybrid cloud integration.
  • Work with marketing teams to segment the market and execute upgrade programs with sales teams.
  • Provide field support as needed to help maintain the existing customer base through client engagement.
  • Monitor cloud solution deployment efficiency, ensuring timely implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Collect market intelligence and competitive insights to shape the company's cloud strategy and product roadmap.
  • Offer IT expertise for the company's products by supporting the sales team with after-sales service and potential new customer engagements.
  • Liaise with customers and prospects at all levels, from internal technical support resources to CIOs and CTOs.
  • Drive Cloud sales by working with field sales, technical teams, and Cloud Operations.
  • Communicate with teams to gain product knowledge and report back on market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field. 
  • Certifications: Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred. 
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Azure services, networking, cloud security, and hybrid architectures. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cloud pre-sales, solution architecture, or IT consulting, preferably in the healthcare sector. 
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with medical systems, clinical data management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA). 
  • Proven experience leading on-premises to Azure cloud migrations.
