JOB SUMMARY
Intern - Client Onboarding
Livingston International is offering a unique, hands-on internship experience for an ambitious, self-starter interested in customs brokerage, trade compliance, consulting, and freight forwarding services. This internship is specifically focused on our Client Onboarding function within North America, where interns will gain exposure to the processes and workflows involved in setting up and supporting new clients.
In this role, the intern will assist with tasks related to client data management, documentation, and reporting—many of which may be clerical in nature but are foundational to understanding our operational and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential, as is comfort with using technology to support onboarding and client service processes.
This is a remote position and is part-time - 30 hours a week max, Monday through Friday.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will vary and will be assigned by the specific Function where the intern is being hired/assigned.
- Learn key business processes as deemed necessary according to team assignment.
- Learn to use multiple systems, including proprietary software.
- Assist with tasks, projects, and/or processes.
- Complete assigned tasks on time
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, VLOOKUP, and data manipulation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate data
- Detail-oriented with an audit-focused mindset
- Ability to generate and analyze reports to support business insights
- Comfortable working independently with large data sets
- Basic working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional demeanor
- Fast learner
