Job description

R1 RCM is currently seeking a Lead Coding Auditor to join our team. The Lead auditor’s primary role will be the overall client management from a hospital and physician charge capture and coding auditing services perspective. This includes implementation preparations and training for new clients, attending client team meetings and periodic business reviews, and other client-facing activities. 

 

Every day in this role you will:

  • Participate in client implementations, which includes attending scheduled client calls and go-live training which may be remote or required travel on site. 
  • Assist in ensuring that all assigned auditors have appropriate EMR access for go-live. 
  • Communicate directly with auditors regarding client needs. 
  • Oversee client questions. 
  • Manage/troubleshoot denials. 
  • Monitor client queues and client actions to identify any issues, client trending, agreement rate or Cloudmed auditor education opportunities. 
  • Communicate directly with other departments (Client Delivery, Product Delivery, Rules Architects, etc.) 
  • Participate in Periodic Business Reviews if needed, providing content for Client Delivery presentations, and presenting auditing trends and metrics as requested. 
  • Production auditing up to 25% of the time. 
  • Client facing up to 50% of the time. 
  • Assistance with team coverage. 

 

To be successful in this role you must:

  • CPC, CPC-H (COC), CPMA, CIC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS-P certification 
  • 2+ years of relevant hospital and/or physician charge capture, coding and/or auditing experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Experience auditing and/or coding with CPT, HCPCS, ICD10PCS codes.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $65,342.00 - $94,799.70 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
