About the role

Appfire is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and  managing complex Atlassian solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud engineering principles, strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and experience in systems administration and ideally software development. In this role, you will collaborate with Atlassian service partners, customers, and internal teams to architect and evangelize novel solutions aimed at solving high value use cases.

Solutions Architects partner with Channel managers to provide the technical knowledge of how our products work, and what problems they solve to our service partners and customers. Solutions Architects need excellent communication skills to express complex concepts to users of varying technical knowledge, including business counterparts with little to no experience with engineering processes like Agile, ITSM, Workflow Management, or DevOps. 

This is a remote role located in Germany.

Your everyday tasks will include:

  • Understanding customer requirements and technical specifications for potential projects or implementations.
  • Designing and configuring solutions using Appfire products and technologies.
  • Design, architect, and implement complex Atlassian based solutions (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) for software development, DevOps, and systems administration teams.
  • Identify potential issues and propose solutions that meet business needs while optimizing performance, security, scalability, and availability.
  • Develop technical documentation, training materials, and support resources for clients and internal teams.
  • .Provide ongoing consultation and support to clients, ensuring that they are receiving the full benefits of their Atlassian solutions and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with Product teams to identify features required by customers.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest product features, releases, and industry trends to effectively communicate their value proposition to potential customers.

Skills and experience you'll need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex Atlassian solutions for software development, DevOps, and systems administration teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, IT Service Management (ITSM), DevOps practices, and software development life cycles.
  • Experience in software development using programming languages such as Java, Python, or SIL.
  • Experience in Linux Systems administration.
  • Familiarity with related technologies, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, and other Atlassian products.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • A customer-focused attitude and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
