Position reports to: Vice President, Global Math Operation
Primary Objective
The Math Project Manager delivers specific accountabilities identified below where he/she is assigned the role of Math Project Manager, in addition to continuing math evaluation and technical reviews. The Math Project Manager is required to possess strong interpersonal skills to allow for cross-team collaboration and demonstrate an ability to track projects and inform all associated stakeholders.
Specific Accountabilities
The Math Project Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Incoming review of math submissions to ensure complete submission materials, requesting additional information when appropriate
Review and negotiation of project deadlines and estimates with project managers and general managers
Daily monitoring and reporting of task status, including changes to completion dates, via activities such as a daily scrum(s)
Capacity planning of current vs. pending tasks
Aligning with the Math Group Manager, Mathematics Director, or VP of Global Math Operations to ensure team has sufficient work.
Coordinates with other Mathematics Project Managers and VP of Global Math Operations in support of global math queue monitoring.
Providing a single point of contact for project statuses of the team.
Qualifications
A degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field, and a minimum of 2 years’ prior experience are required for this position
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with project management principles and practices
Basic knowledge of queueing theory, project management, or agile principles such as Scrum and Kanban
2 years previous experience in a gaming environment
50-70% billable expectation based on workload
