Job Summary
We are looking for a Systems Security Specialist to join our growing systems team. This role blends system administration with a strong focus on security — helping to manage access controls, support system operations, and monitor data protection efforts across our Microsoft-based cloud environment. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, a relevant security certification, and is eager to grow into a more advanced security role.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry frameworks to protect organizational systems and data.
• Manage endpoint security solutions, and Cloud Infrastructure leveraging tools, to detect and mitigate threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits, tracking remediation efforts and reporting findings.
• Monitor security logs and alerts from SIEM and other security tools, responding to potential threats.
• Support identity and access management (IAM) efforts, including Azure AD security, privileged access management (PAM), and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Maintain access controls and security standards across systems that rely on structured data and user management (e.g., user access reviews, internal tools and SaaS platforms).
• Administer user permissions and roles within enterprise systems, ensuring audit trails are maintained and access is reviewed regularly.
• Support the Senior Systems Manager to develop and update security documentation, policies, and incident response plans.
• Participate in team projects to enhance security posture, automation, and user experience.
• Work with Senior Systems Manager, to fulfill business initiatives and requirements.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
• 2–5 years of relevant IT/security administration experience.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow processes and document tasks thoroughly.
• Comfortable being hands-on while growing into a more strategic security role.
• Strong communicator who can be a partner to the business and work collaboratively across departments.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and service workflows.
• Experience working with user access management and structured data systems (e.g., internal admin panels, reporting tools, or SaaS platforms).
• Solid working knowledge of:
o Microsoft Cloud stack: Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365
o Conditional Access policies
o DLP tools and email/data monitoring
o MDM tools and mobile device security
o DevSecOps
Preffered Requirments
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least one security certification required (e.g., Security+, CISM, CISSP, or similar).
• At least one MS Azure certification(s) required (e.g MS Azure Administrator or MS Azure Security Engineer).
• Basic scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of Technology and Security Frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, NIST, CIS Controls, STRIDE, etc.)
• Experience in regulated or vendor-facing environments where audit trails and security documentation are essential.

• Full-Time Position, 40 Hours a Week
• Location: Virtual/Remote
• Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD
• To be filled as soon as possible (start date to be agreed between both parties).
• Our salary structures are location-agnostic, ensuring equal pay for the same role, irrespective of location. Final employment offers are determined based on the role, candidate experience, education, and other relevant factors, but not on location. Offers will be presented in the local currency of the candidate's permanent residence. Benefits are tailored to the region of the candidate's permanent residence and align with Textile Exchange’s regional employment packages.
