You will be joining fast-growing AI startup founded by successful serial entrepreneurs. Small, driven team (4-5 engineers) building intelligent sales automation tools.

Replacing manual outbound sales with AI-powered prospecting, personalized outreach, and multi-channel engagement. Their platform automates lead generation and optimizes conversions using machine learning.

Mission: Make sales smarter, not harder.

Your Role:

  • Lead and grow a talented team of 4-5 engineers
  • Spend ~50% of your time on hands-on development (Node.js, databases, architecture)
  • Establish best practices in SDLC, code quality, and production reliability
  • Collaborate closely with US-based product and engineering teams
  • Thrive in ambiguity—bring structure while adapting to startup pace
  • Mentor engineers, unblock challenges, and drive technical decisions

Technical Must-Haves:

  • 7-8 years in software development, 4-5 years in product companies (customer-facing SaaS)
  • Strong backend focus: 2-3 years of Node.js + 5 years with relational databases
  • 1-2 years as a tech lead (owning architecture, design, and code quality)
  • Full-stack exposure but prefers backend complexity
  • Proven experience supporting production SaaS applications

Leadership Must-Haves:

  • 2-3 years managing teams (4-7 engineers)
  • Experience with performance cycles, hiring, and team development
  • Ability to align engineering roadmaps with product goals
  • Scrum/Agile leadership (eventually)

Nice-to-Have:

  • Startup + enterprise experience (US/EU hybrid teams a plus)
  • GCP infrastructure knowledge
  • Background in sales/marketing tech or ML-powered products
