As the Content Writer supporting Aeroflow Urology, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling, informative, and SEO-optimized content that resonates with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. You will translate complex health topics into accessible language, contributing directly to our mission by creating valuable resources across blogs, websites, and other digital platforms.

Your Primary Responsibilities

Content Creation & Development:

  • Collaborate with the Editorial Lead and marketing stakeholders to execute on content strategies focused on engagement, education, conversion, and brand awareness for the Urology audience.
  • Research, write, and edit engaging, accurate, and high-quality content (blogs, resource pages, patient guides, infographics text, etc.) for our websites and other online platforms, ensuring adherence to brand voice and style guidelines. Develop a deep understanding of our Urology patient journey to craft content that addresses their needs, enhances user experience, drives conversions, and increases engagement.
  • Partner with Patient Experience and Brand Marketing teams to create clear and concise copy for cross-marketing campaigns as needed, including but not limited to emails, social media posts, marketing collateral, internal patient processes, and landing pages.
  • Contribute to and follow the editorial calendar to ensure timely and strategic content delivery, coordinating with the Senior Website Coordinator to meet publishing deadlines.
  • Partner with the in-house design team to create requests for graphics/photography/video by providing clear copy or script writing direction and concepts.

SEO Optimization:

  • In partnership with our external SEO agency and Editorial Lead, utilize keyword research to inform content creation and identify opportunities for increased traffic, engagement, and conversions within assigned topics.
  • Write and implement effective meta titles, descriptions, and other on-page SEO elements for all created content.
  • Monitor content performance using tools like Ahrefs, Moz, or SEMrush and suggest improvements based on data.
  • Assist with content needs for PR and link-building efforts to increase domain authority and visibility.

Data Reporting and Analysis:

  • Review content performance metrics, including traffic, engagement, time on page, and conversion rates, using analytics tools.
  • Contribute insights based on content performance to help refine content strategies and meet marketing goals.

Additional Contributions:

  • Work closely with the Senior Website Coordinator to support A/B testing efforts by ideating ways to optimize content effectiveness and user engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Website Coordinator to provide necessary assets (text, concepts) for blog development in M2, and review published content structure for alignment with key points.
  • Conduct competitor research specifically focused on content strategies and topics to identify opportunities for optimization and differentiation.
  • Engage with platforms like Reddit or Quora to understand audience questions and create content that aligns with SEO and engagement strategies.
  • Assist in organizing and supporting multimedia projects, including contributing to storyboarding and coordinating with internal teams for written components.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail and grammar.
  • Solid understanding of basic SEO principles and best practices, particularly on-page SEO as related to content creation.
  • Ability to research complex topics (especially healthcare/medical) and synthesize information into clear, accessible language.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple time-sensitive projects.
  • Proactive problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement and ownership of content performance.
  • Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality

 

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience specifically in content writing, creating digital content like blogs, articles, and web pages. Experience in healthcare, wellness, medical devices, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrable understanding of SEO principles and best practices as applied to content creation.
  • Basic to moderate experience using SEO tools (e.g., Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner) is preferred.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Magento is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze content performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations using tools such as Google analytics.
  • Ability to travel to team in-person events at least twice per year.

Salary: $50,000
