About The Role

The Sr. Sales Account Executive for Public Sector is an experienced sales professional who drives strategic enterprise-wide sales initiatives within federal, state, and local government. This role encompasses territory planning, prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing new business with government agencies. Sr. Sales Account Executives directly impact Tungsten Automation's success and growth.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, qualify, orchestrate and close new business within assigned public sector target accounts, leveraging compelling ROI that Tungsten Automation solutions provide for federal, state, and local government agencies
  • Work closely with Lead Generation and Sales Engineering teams to create and manage a strong pipeline in both existing customers and prospects
  • Develop, manage, and report on a sustainable sales pipeline within the territory
  • Create and implement strategic territory plans in conjunction with sales management
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent sales cycles
  • Articulate the value of Tungsten Automation solutions to agency directors and government executives aligned with their strategic objectives
  • Establish and maintain strong, referenceable relationships with our client base
  • Qualify and forecast deals accurately and consistently
  • Work with key Technology Partners to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute field marketing activities to drive pipeline growth
  • Grow and maintain a network of contacts across various departments within each target agency
  • Collaborate with internal teams for effective prospecting and qualification
  • Maintain clean and up-to-date CRM records in accordance with management guidelines
  • Support Tungsten Automation related marketing events

  • Proficient presentation skills and experience in solution selling methodologies.
  • Effective time management skills to manage multiple sales campaigns concurrently.


Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with networking, operating systems, and development/scripting languages (e.g., VB/VBA, Java, HTML, CSS).
  • Awareness of industry-specific challenges, particularly in document management and processing.
  • Knowledge of Tungsten Automation’s product offerings and their alignment with customer strategies.


Required Experience

  • 5-8 years of sales experience in selling enterprise software and services to federal, state and local government agencies.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas consistently.
  • Experience in positioning and selling solutions aligned with government agencies' operational needs.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes, budget cycles, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Integrity and a commitment to providing effective solutions to government clients.
  • Ability to manage negotiations and close sales effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with strategic sales training and solution selling methodologies.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred

The base salary range for this role, across the US, is $135,000 - $245,000. Your actual base pay within this range will be determined by your work location as well as skills, qualifications, experience, and relevant education/training. The range provided reflects only the base salary for the role and does not include benefits.
