Job description

Job Summary:

The Manager, Revenue Cycle Operations Analysis is responsible for leading the technical and analytical support for key production-related activities and projects within the Revenue Cycle Operations team.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the development of data driven production and quality reporting
  • Support production-related business processes and drive operational improvements through root cause analysis and effective use of technology solutions
  • Identify and implement mechanisms or processes to increase throughput and efficiencies within the Department and develop key performance indicators to validate improved efficiency
  • Maintains positive and strategic relations with internal and external customers, support vendors and stakeholders including the State governments
  • Maintain compliance with reporting requirements to state department of insurance, Medicaid administrator and other regulators
  • Establishes, monitors and enforces financial policies and procedures and internal controls
  • Research existing and new legislation changes in member eligibility and billing requirements and ensure CareSource is compliant with these changes
  • Collaborate with business owners and vendors to facilitate production processes and issue resolution
  • Ensure adherence to corporate change management documentation and communication for new and modifications of existing technology and processes 
  • Develop professional staff such that appropriate backup and contingency plans exist in the event of turnover
  • Responsible for management of departmental staff
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in accounting, finance, economics, computer sciences or related field or equivalent relevant work experience is required
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in data analysis, mapping or equivalent analytic experience is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of health care operations experience in insurance, managed care, or related industry is preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of management experience is preferred

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert proficiency level with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with a variety of analysis concepts, practices and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others including the development, motivation and rewarding of staff
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude (independent judgment) is required
  • Demonstrates decision making and analytical/problem solving skills to perform a variety of complicated tasks
  • Possess critical thinking/listening skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management as well as external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of SQL, SAS or other relational database software and/or business intelligence (BI) tools is preferred
  • Skill documenting business requirements for IT systems or applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Licensure and Certification:

  • Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience is preferred

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time

Compensation Range:

$81,400.00 - $130,200.00

In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
