  • Assist in the project delivery of network installations from inception to job handover.
  • Complete network reports and analysis, ensuring timely feedback to the Project Engineer.
  • Drive completion of small and large scale projects related to installations and upgrades.
  • Attend sites to check standards of installations, ensuring quality and compliance.

Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.

We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

This role will be within our private networks. We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

This is a field based role with the main areas been in the South of England.

What will you be doing?

  • You’ll be assisting in the project delivery of network installations working closely with the Program Managers & Design Engineers supporting projects from inception to end of job handover.
  • You’ll be driving to full completion small & large scale projects for SSEN, all related installations upgrades commissioning/decommissioning within the customer’s premises across various locations across the SSEN estate.
  • You’ll be completing network reports and analysis when required. Work to customer billing milestones critical to project completions, making sure that reporting and end of job reports are fed back to the Project Engineer & the account in a timely manner meeting the customers’ expectations and making sure that any SLA agreements are being met.
  • You’ll be assisting quality physical installations are critical to the sustainability and supportability of both Distribution & Transmission networks and as part of the role attending sites to complete and check standards of installations will be required

What You’ll Bring

  • You’ll have experience of full cabinet installations both telecoms & DC cabinets securing in place on various floor types concreate/computer as examples.
  • You’ll understand DC competent (TEL003) and have ability to work in DC PDU’s - carry out installation testing and produce DC certificates
  • We’ll need you to read site designs and follow floor plans and rack face layouts
  • Partial installation into existing onsite equipment router add-ins or card installs + network testing C37:94 being a commonly used service.
  • Various cable installation & termination including SWA.
  • You’ll bring knowledege of DC power installation + AC knowledge.
  • Install & commission of DNWP Connection Master SDH etc.
  • You’ll have a basic knowledge of cisco equipment & switches. Including ASR 920 /4010/2520 & ADVA FSP150
