Summary: 

The Select Client Service Specialist is primarily responsible for providing renewal operational support to the Select client retention team. The CSS team plays a vital role in securing monthly renewal documents, proactive renewal processing, making plan recommendations, and continuously monitoring a renewal’s lifecycle steps to ensure proper delivery to our client. We further contribute by handling carrier audit email notifications, and incoming electronic mail processing. Our team values collaborating and sharing ideas for process improvements, as we strive to provide excellent service to both our internal and external customers.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):  

D365 Client Database Maintenance 

  • Handle Renewal Lifecycle Activities 

  • Initiate process workflows 

  • Handle client audit notifications  

  • Conduct account activity research 

  • Process/route electronic mail items 

 

Group Benefit Plan Analysis 

  • Review client benefits 

  • Evaluate renewal plan premiums 

  • Analyze & propose alternative benefit options to clients 

  • Submit client presentation requests 

  • Handle proactive marketing/quoting   

 

Procure Group Renewals 

  • Identify need for renewal document 

  • Draft renewal requests 

  • Determine outreach pathways 

  • Communicate effectively with external partners 

  • Track communications to client database 

 

Maintain Productivity 

  • Contribute to team’s synergy 

  • Set daily task goals 

  • Collaborate with cross-functioning departments 

  • Handle special projects 

  • Embrace change & challenge 

 

Adhere to Company Compliance Guidelines 

  • Follow all necessary data & process security procedures 

  • Maintain professional conduct 

  • Participate in company required trainings 

  • Attend internal & external meetings 

  • Maintain license renewal CE credits  

 

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills 

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple & complex tasks in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • In-depth knowledge of internal resources  

  • Must be self-motivated and self-driven 

  • Strong written and verbal communication 

  • Excellent team player skills 

  • Ability to work strategically with internal stakeholders 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 

Education, Training and Experience: 

  • 2+ years’ applicable job experience, preferred  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, required  

  • Prior experience in broker agency or benefit administration firm, preferred  

  • Familiarity with insurance carrier websites, preferred  

  • Proven track record in customer service; preferred  

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred  

  • Familiarity with database applications, a plus 

Other:  

  • Health/Life License, preferred 

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $17 to $20 per hour 

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs.
