Associate Developer – Global Data Operations
Location: Remote United States
Experience Level: 1+ years

Join Vitech as an Associate Developer on our Global Data Operations team and help deliver seamless client upgrades, troubleshoot complex data issues, and enhance performance in a cloud-first world.

This role is ideal for early-career talent with a strong technical foundation, a curiosity-driven mindset, and a passion for delighting clients through innovation and reliability.

What you will do:

• Support client data upgrades in the cloud, ensuring seamless transitions and platform stability
• Troubleshoot complex upgrade and data issues, working closely with engineering, product, and support teams
• Write and optimize scripts using Python and PostgreSQL
• Execute and validate database changes and performance improvements
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement data migration strategies and resolve edge-case client issues
• Work on Amazon RDS and gain real-world exposure to cloud architecture and DevOps practices
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation, reliability, and customer satisfaction
• Support client go-lives with a “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure a smooth and successful experience
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in software development or database support
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Python
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic AWS concepts like RDS
• A strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving spirit
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves, work through ambiguity, and stay calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to support clients across time zones, especially during critical upgrade periods

Bonus Points If You Have

• Exposure to Oracle, SQL, or PL/SQL
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, cloud migration, or performance tuning
• Prior experience in a client-facing support or data operations role
