Senior Revenue Accountant
Location: United States, Fully Remote
Job Type: Full-time

We’re hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing finance team and lead critical efforts in revenue recognition and compliance. This is a high-impact role focused on ensuring revenue is accurately recognized under ASC 606, partnering closely with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and other teams to support a fast-growing SaaS or subscription-based business.

What you will do:

Perform detailed contract reviews to identify performance obligations and apply appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for revenue and deferred revenue during monthly close
Collaborate with Sales and Legal on non-standard deal structures and contract modifications
Provide revenue reporting, analytics, and audit support for internal and external stakeholders
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within revenue operations
Ensure strong internal controls across the Order-to-Cash cycle
Partner cross-functionally with billing, collections, sales ops, and FP&A to ensure revenue accuracy
Prepare schedules and documentation to support annual audits and internal audits related to revenue.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years applying ASC 606
In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles
Experience working in SaaS, software, or subscription-based companies
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs)
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and written communication
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage competing priorities

Bonus Points

Public accounting background, especially in audit or advisory services
Familiarity with ASC 340-40 (capitalization of contract costs)
