Summary: Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgement monitors and evaluates products in assigned states for growth, profitability and competitiveness. Ensures compliance of personal line’s rate plan and product features with state statutes and regulation. Makes recommendations regarding product design, pricing, and new product development. Contributes to marketing and sales planning.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Monitors and evaluates products in assigned states, including growth, profitability, competition and regulation, by:
Measures performance of products compared to strategies, goals and metrics.
Monitors and evaluates insurance industry product developments and trends.
Analyzes and reports to key stakeholders on product performance.
Evaluates trend selections as proposed by product managers for their assigned states.
Maintains product compliance with all applicable regulations, including:
Coordinates rate, rule and form changes.
Communicates with regulatory agency representatives.
Develops and presents recommendations on product modifications or new products, by:
Works with key stakeholders to assess and prioritize product development
Maintains communication with and solicits input from key stakeholders, including underwriting, marketing, claims, sales, agents and policyholders.
Works with assigned Analysts to develop and support product recommendations.
Assesses performance of product changes and new products against established goals and metrics for all Personal Lines companies and states.
Provide input and recommendations regarding marketing and sales strategy, plans and materials.
Partners with Operations to identify and evaluate new agency plants.
As the senior position in the job family, may provide leadership to junior staff, including:
Assigns tasks
Trains and provides guidance
Provides input to management regarding performance appraisals
Leads corporate initiatives such as state expansions and others as needed.
In partnership with Underwriting, creates/modifies underwriting guidelines to achieve performance targets in their assigned states of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
