【仕事内容】

Solution Architect Lead will help advance the strategies of business and corporate functions around the simplification and modernization of our technology stacks by focusing on the discipline of Enterprise Architecture (EA).

[What is expected]

Development and Application of Target Architecture

  • Establish and apply target application/solution architecture in alignment with business strategy and EA frameworks/principles.
  • Establish and apply roadmaps, standards, patterns, guidelines, and best practices for realizing the target architecture.

Leadership, Strengthening, and Management of the Solution Architecture Team

  • Lead and guide the Solution Architecture team, supporting the promotion of high-quality application/solution design and adoption of standards/patterns.

Holistic Analysis and Optimization of Business Needs and Applications

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify and analyze business needs, providing effective technical solutions aligned with EA.
  • Gain a cross-functional understanding of applications, data, and technology supporting the business and plan optimization across the enterprise.

Design and Development of Solutions/Patterns

  • Conduct comprehensive system design and architecture development to support diverse business requirements.
  • Lead the development of patterns that clarify business value (e.g., cost-effectiveness, reduced delivery time) and address scalability, performance, and security.

[ Responsibilities]

  • Define architecture patterns and reference architecture across the architecture domain, collaborating cross-functionally as a thought leader, contributor, and collaborator in the designated area. Adopt architecture to drive the realization of business strategy and enterprise goals.
  • Establish EA standards and create artifacts for domain architecture. Define logically abstracted patterns and reference architecture as the foundation of architecture standards and develop roadmaps for implementing the architecture standards.
  • Ensure that architecture patterns are modern, current, reusable, and readily adoptable/utilizable across Japan and globally.
  • Consult with the team to define solution implementations that align with modern/current patterns and reference architectures, fostering co-creation and evaluation of implementation patterns that can be utilized across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with other teams to promote adopting architecture principles and patterns, leading efforts to evangelize and promote patterns and reference architectures. Influence implementing solutions that align with architectural principles and support the goals of modernization.
  • Evaluate implementation solutions and influence design solution architecture for alignment with EA patterns and standards (includes integrations, technology platforms, capacity, and performance management plan) and for alignment with business strategies and enterprise goals. Identify and classify tech debt where solutions deviate from alignment.
  • Ensure architecture standards and solution architecture designs align with security requirements.
  • Review new technology use cases, define/design Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB)-approved architecture patterns, and build accelerators (e.g., code templates, reference architectures) to enable rapid adoption and implementation by Application and Platform Product teams.
  • Scan the market for emerging solutions and new architectural concepts that address challenges or enable new use cases.
  • Select new technologies to address challenges or deliver solutions where existing technology doesn't exist, existing technology doesn't adequately meet business needs, or new technology delivers better outcomes (e.g., higher performance, lower cost, etc.).
  • Obtain approval of new or modified standards from the Enterprise Architecture Review Board.
  • Evaluate the application portfolio; apply Application Portfolio Management practices and influence application disposition for the application portfolio.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for a team of Solution Architects focusing on growth and development, accountable for the performance of the team's function.
