The Payroll Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll operations for a company with 2,500+ employees. The position requires expertise in various payroll functions, including but not limited to knowledge and skill in a financial environment, knowledge of labor laws, DOL regulations, payroll tax regulations, timecard management, union contract processing and garnishment administration. Additionally, the role will manage a relationship with ADP and supervise a small staff to ensure efficient and accurate execution of all payroll processes.
Responsibilities
Supervise and execute the payroll process for 2,500+ employees accurately and in compliance with legal, company, and union contract policies.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll checks, including regular and special compensation as well as other incentives.
Actively manage a relationship with ADP as well as all additional responsibilities to provide for a successful outsourcing.
Oversee the collection and verification of timecards, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked and adherence to company and union policies.
Handle various deductions such as union dues, garnishments, and other payroll-related deductions.
Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team, ensuring their adherence to best practices and company policies.
Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll and payroll tax regulations, ensuring company payroll processes remain in compliance.
Collaborate on a regular basis with human resources, legal and finance teams to ensure effective operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required with minimum of 6 years’ related experience, including 3 years’ managerial experience.
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS module
Experience in management of ADP outsourced payroll and all corresponding service functions.

Salary
Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $69,323 – $105,074
