Sr Revenue Operations Accountant – Job Description

The Senior Revenue Operations Accountant supports the Director of Revenue Operations in overseeing revenue accounting processes and playing a key role in the financial due diligence, integration, and accounting for merger and acquisition transactions. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join our growing team. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, and supporting our growth and scalability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, bringing a proactive approach to financial processes, critical thinking skills, and fresh ideas to enhance operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to financial strategy, and play a key role in the continued success of our organization. This role will report to the Director of Revenue Operations to support revenue operations for all mergers and acquisitions in addition to traditional accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support Director of Revenue Operations to integrate acquired entities into the 360 ecosystems in the most efficient and automated manner
• Analyze accounting, reporting, and process implications of acquired entities and provide guidance
• Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable
• Support and participate in companywide projects for revenue accounting as well as order to cash cycles
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and internal controls
• Actively contribute new ideas and approaches to enhance financial operations and efficiency
• Oversee sales and use tax filings using Vertex, ensuring compliance across many states
  
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, including Netsuite, Salesforce, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power BI
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and GAAP compliance
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external auditors, and vendors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and evolving technology landscape
• Self-starter with strong critical thinking skills, able to bring fresh ideas to enhance processes
