Who You Are:

Galaxy is looking for a Systems Architect with strong background in network engineering within financial services, high-frequency trading, or other ultra-low latency environments. You have a deep understanding of routing and switching protocols as well as network monitoring tools. You are a problem-solver and love working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

What You’ll Do:

Architect and optimize multicast and unicast LANs and WANs to support high-frequency trading applications with minimal latency.
Develop, deploy, and maintain network automation tools to streamline network configuration, monitoring, and performance analysis.
Identify and mitigate potential sources of network latency; continuously optimize infrastructure to meet low-latency trading requirements.
Implement advanced monitoring solutions to track network performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time, ensuring high availability and reliability with the lowest possible latency.
Work closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to understand business requirements and align network infrastructure to meet performance and scalability needs.
Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, particularly related to latency and traffic drops
Liaise with network hardware and software vendors to ensure optimal solutions and upgrades for high-performance trading environments.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience low latency interconnects and design.
In depth knowledge hardware and operating systems
Storage area network design and support
8+ years’ experience of design, implementation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of medium to large fleets.
Experience integrating and maintaining cloud platform networks (AWS, GPC, Azure, etc.), and managing server configurations and deployments as code
