Sr. Sales Manager, Nutrition & Wellness, APAC, will be responsible for driving, achieving and exceeding regional & local sales targets, and developing new programs & business for the APAC region, selling into the Dietary Supplement, Cosmetic and Functional Food categories
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Develop and close sales within the Dietary Supplement, Cosmetic and Functional Food categories in APAC (i.e. India,Japan, Korea, Australia, SEA, etc.)
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets within the APAC region
- Provide leadership for development of APAC strategic account development & pipeline plan
- Responsible for sales expansion and gaining new clients (BD) within respective region and BU
- Maximize cross-selling opportunities and act as a single point of contact for client accounts in APAC
- Work with inside sales, outside sales and business development managers & operational staff in region; ensuring adherence to sales pipeline metrics and annual AOP achievement
- Develop new business by speaking at industry conferences, seminars and webinars to promote NSF’s Nutrition & Wellness offerings
- Work closely with Regional BU Lead, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to develop local certification program and promote NSF nutrition & wellness audits and certification services
- Provide input to Global N&W Business Director in setting sales & pipeline goals, quotas, and metrics
- Track sales pipeline development & optimize process of moving leads through sales cycle to closed/won status
- Work with Marketing to ensure correct key messaging is delivered to each category/market segment to optimize lead generation, customer profitability and retention
- Support preparation of revenue forecasts and annual budget; gaining leadership buy-in and approval
- Manage all sales and sales support costs within budgeted levels
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant policies & procedures
- Recruit and hire new team members as necessary
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties/projects as maybe required from time to time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in English language is an asset
- Proficiency selling against a portfolio of offerings and using CRM tools & systems
- 10-12 years’ experience in B2B/ territory sales with 5 years’ experience in a sales leadership role, this includes experience in account planning and territory management
- 5 years’ experience in a corporate environment; experience working in a matrix organization with high levels of cross-functional collaboration
- Experience uncovering & translating customer technical needs into customer-centric solutions
- Ability to manage forecast accuracy; excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are essential ; d emonstrable sales planning & prospecting skills
- Willingness and ability to travel within APAC region as needed
- Currently resides in APAC regio
Preferred Qualificantions
- Master’s degree in business or technical field
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Knowledge/ experience in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry
- Knowledge/ experience selling into Dietary Supplement, Cosmetic or Functional Food categories in APAC
- Experience managing sales staff or related field sales staff with quota responsibility
- Currently resides in Japan, Australia , Korea
