To provide objective risk-based and assurance that contributes to an effective internal controls framework over the relevant IT systems of Avantor. This position is responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of all IT audits of internal controls over relevant systems, including updating risk assessments, assessing internal control adequacy, designing a risk-based audit plan, analyzing testing results, drafting findings, and preparing audit reports. This position will assist the Director of Internal Audit with establishing timetables, tracking metrics, managing outstanding issues, and scheduling and hosting client meetings. Focus on building positive independent relationships with key stakeholders and continuously promoting progressive audit strategies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in technology, finance, accounting, or related field
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in testing internal IT controls

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage other resources.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to adapt in a high growth, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Manage audits of the general business functions in supporting the execution of the annual audit plan
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley provisions and SSAE / 18 SOC1 and SOC2 requirements.
  • Understanding of internal audit concepts/framework (e.g., COSO, CoBIT) and other leading business and IT controls/security frameworks.

  • Draft process documentation, working papers, and audit reports that are clear, concise, and provide a balanced view of risk and work performed.
  • Perform IT audit fieldwork, including control testing and documentation of test results.
  • Communicate audit issue and advise on remediation action plans.
  • Support development of a data analytics program to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal audit engagements.
  • Guide internal audit team members in use of data analysis and analytic tools in audit assessment.
  • Navigate technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for uses of data analytics in audit testing.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures and execute Company standards on appearance and functionally as well as appropriate brand representation.
  • Communicates any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.
  • Execute team member performance improvement plans.
