Job description

Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Nike USA Inc.- Beaverton, OR. Develop, code/configure, test programs/systems and solutions problems in order to meet defined digital product specifications and direction; develop robust advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that have a direct impact on the business; help design and build scalable software solutions, implement and integrate new technologies, manage and evolve existing platforms; design and implement scalable applications that leverage prediction models and optimization programs to deliver data driven decisions that result in immense business impact; assess a well-defined problem and lead the development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural standards; contribute to core advanced analytics and machine learning platforms and tools to enable both prediction and optimization model development; solve machine learning problems at scale; develop products focused primarily on consumer data: serve as an integral member of a multi-functional engineering teams that delivers solutions unlocking machine learning for Nike; analyze and profile data to uncover insights in support of scalable solutions, clean, prepare and verify the integrity of data for analysis and model creation; track model accuracy, performance, relevance, and reliability; apply a variety of machine learning and collaborative filtering methods to data sets; aid in building APIs and software libraries that support adoption of models in production; leverage prior experience, knowledge of industry trends, and personal creativity to develop new and innovative solutions; stay ahead of industry trends and recommend relevant technologies & products in the areas of Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science tools and other emerging technologies; and embrace and embody Nike's core values (Maxims) in work and interactions with peers and stakeholders and communicate effectively, building trust and strong relationships across the company. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from SD, VT, and WV.

Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a engineering-related occupation. Experience must include:

• Python

• Numpy

• Databricks

• AWS ECR+EKS

• ML Ops & Maintenance and AWS

• Distributed Version Control Systems (git)

• Gather requirements and deliver technical projects of medium scope and moderate uncertainty

• Agile development and test driven development

• Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Databricks, Terraform
