About Epirus

Epirus is a high-growth technology company dedicated to overcoming the asymmetric challenges inherent to the future of national security. Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less.

Job Summary: Epirus is seeking a Senior Director of Commercial Product Marketing to drive market strategy and product leadership for our Advanced Electronics portfolio. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies—from power amplifiers and RF systems to AI-driven power management and digital twin platforms. You'll translate complex engineering into differentiated market offerings, define go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for growth across defense and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities:

Technical Liaison for the Sales, Marketing, and Communications team

  • Serve as the primary interface between Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and external stakeholders to ensure customer and market needs are reflected in product development
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and marketing to align roadmaps and go-to-market execution
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Create and maintain business cases, MRDs, PRDs, and technical documentation to support product development and launch
  • Partner with marketing to shape messaging, positioning, and GTM plans tailored to target industries and buyer personas

Business Development and Partnership Management

  • Represent the customer voice in strategic partner engagements, ensuring alignment with market needs and product direction
  • Identify, evaluate, and activate new partnerships that enhance product offerings and expand market access
  • Synthesize diverse customer and partner feedback into actionable product specifications and platform strategies
  • Navigate trade-offs between feature scope, timeline, and cost to deliver scalable solutions on time
  • Guide the evolution of a platform-based product roadmap to meet emerging long-term market demands
  • Identify and pursue new commercial markets and applications for existing and emerging technologies
  • Conduct market sizing, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to inform commercial strategy
  • Build and manage strategic customer relationships across both engineering and executive levels
  • Support business development in the commercial sector by aligning capabilities with customer pain points and funding priorities
  • Collaborate with Sales and BD teams to drive opportunity conversion and revenue growth
Basic Qualifications:
  • BSEE or MSEE with 15+ years of experience in the electronics industry, preferably in product marketing or product management roles
  • Proven experience with high-power amplifiers, RF systems, embedded/edge computing, signal chain architectures, mixed-signal and analog front-end (AFE) IC solutions
  • Domain experience in at least one of the following sectors: Communications, Aerospace, Industrial, IoT, or Automotive
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML, signal processing, and software-defined systems
  • Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear messaging for engineering, sales, and marketing stakeholders
  • Experience in portfolio strategy, including organic and inorganic growth levers
  • Ability to build and defend data-driven investment cases across R&D, sales, and customer success
  • Knowledge of multi-channel GTM strategies, including OEM, system integrators, distribution, and direct sales
  • Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • MBA or advanced business training preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal presence with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable operating in both autonomous and leadership-driven environments
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth settings with tight deadlines
