 About the Role 

The Brand Manager, FGO will be responsible for supporting the SBM, FGO with the development and execution of marketing plans and initiatives that will grow the FGO brands. This position is part of a dynamic and nimble team that will own consumer insight development and validation, brand strategy and execution across product, communications, and innovation. This role will require deep consumer empathy and insights, analytical evaluation of opportunities, as well as multiple projects in various stages of development. In addition, this role requires partnering with multiple stakeholders and therefore requires effective communication skills, persuading and leading cross-functional teams.  

 Day to day, you will support building and executing the annual brand plans, conducting market and business analysis, budgeting, partnering with the Portfolio Innovation Lead on Innovation/Renovation pipeline strategy, and identifying channel, format, and product opportunities. This position works closely with all other departments in the company including other Marketing Functions, Sales, Operations and Finance. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies to drive awareness, loyalty, and sales growth. 
  • Lead the creation and refinement of the brand’s positioning, messaging, and visual identity. 
  • Conduct market research and consumer insights analysis to understand customer needs and industry trends. 
  • Own brand budgeting includes the allocation and distribution of marketing funds to cross functional partners. 
  • Manage health of business analysis for brand to understand category drivers and brand performance  
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels. 
  • Works with various cross-functional departments on developing and executing brand strategy, programs, and innovation. 
  • Analyzes brand performance to identify new marketing, packaging, and product opportunities. 
  • Utilizes internal creative team and external agencies to develop packaging, consumer messaging and promotions while securing legal and regulatory approval with respect to the above 
  • Analyze data to identify business issues and provide recommendations for business improvements. 
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for brand health, including brand awareness, engagement, and market share. 
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, creative, and product teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints. 
  • Develops and presents annual brand plans, activation plans and business reviews. 
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. 

Requirements

 What We’re Looking Fo

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. 
  • 7+ years of brand management experience, with a proven history of successfully building and managing consumer brands. 
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and eCommerce platforms. 
  • Experience leading and driving brand growth for retail CPG brands. 
  • Experience leading shopper marketing programming at top retailers across the US. 
  • Expertise in market research, consumer insights, and brand tracking tools. 
  • Experience with analytics tools such as IRI, Spins and Stackline  
  • Experience leading research studies with an agency (i.e., Questionnaire development, insights into action on research results)  
  • Experience leading the development of annual plans; outlining the strategy to grow your business or product and partnering with key stakeholders to develop the tactics. 
  • Strong analytical, planning and project management skills – you love to dig into the data and lead a team through projects. 
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to inform, influence and collaborate across functions and with all organization levels. 
  • Highly resourceful with a tenacious “can do” attitude. 
  • Highly performance and results-driven and want to take on a high level of responsibility and work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This is a 1099 contract position with an hourly rate of $51-$57/hr.  The actual hourly rate offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: location, education, skills, training, and experience.
