Position Overview:

As a Amazon PPC Secialist at Go North, your primary responsibility is to drive and optimize digital advertising campaigns across platforms like Amazon and Walmart to maximize sales and ROI. This includes creating and testing ad campaigns, optimizing bidding strategies, managing budgets, and refining ad targeting through keyword harvesting. You'll analyze key metrics, such as ACoS and TACoS, to ensure cost-effective ad performance while achieving sales growth. Additionally, you’ll support new product launches with tailored ad strategies and collaborate with the content team to adjust creative elements based on data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Creation

  • Develop and launch Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display Ads.

  • Experiment with all campaign types to identify optimal strategies for advertised ASINs.

  • Create Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brand Videos, and Sponsored Display campaigns to test new creative formats.

  • Provide biweekly recommendations to the content team, in coordination with the Sales Manager, for ad type adjustments and optimizations.

Bidding Optimization

  • Continuously adjust bids daily and weekly to maximize performance within budget constraints.

  • Use key metrics such as ACoS, conversion rate, keyword rank, and more to drive month-over-month and year-over-year sales growth.

  • Aim to optimize ad spend for maximum efficiency, achieving the lowest possible CPC and ACoS with the highest CVR and overall sales.

Negative Keyword/Product Target Harvesting

  • Analyze campaigns with broad targeting to identify underperforming or irrelevant search terms.

  • Add non-converting terms as negative keywords or product targets to improve campaign efficiency by preventing ads from showing on these terms.

Positive Keyword/Product Target Harvesting

  • Review broad targeting campaigns to identify high-performing search terms.

  • Transfer successful keywords or ASINs to existing exact match or product targeting campaigns for better control and performance.

  • Negate these terms in their original campaigns to avoid duplicative targeting.

Budget Control

  • Adhere to daily, weekly, and monthly ad spend targets set by the Category Manager.

  • Manage budgets to stay on target for each period while ensuring sales objectives are met.

TACoS Optimization

  • Optimize ads to meet targeted TACoS (Total Advertising Cost of Sales) goals.

  • Monitor TACoS daily and weekly, adjusting ad spend as needed to align actual results with target TACoS.

SQP / Market Share Analysis

  • Perform SQP (Search Query Performance) and market share analyses to enhance reach and sales within each product category.

  • Based on SQP insights, provide recommendations to the content team on keyword adjustments and the integration of growth keywords into product listings and content.

New Product Launches

  • Launch and manage campaigns for new product introductions, with daily optimizations during the first month to track and enhance initial performance.

Walmart Ads

  • Apply all above strategies to Walmart Ads, except Negative Keyword/Product Target Harvesting (currently unavailable on Walmart Ads).
