What you’ll do

Strategy

  • Develop an audience led omnichannel strategy resulting in increased fundraising.
  • Responsible for donor/prospect segmentation, online marketing and stewardship, omnichannel user experience, value proposition development in collaboration with the rest of the alumni and philanthropy team as well as teams throughout the organization.
  • Effectively manage digital and print programs, as well as vendors.

Marketing

  • Develop and oversee the effective planning and execution of content across the website and fundraising appeals to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of content and alignment with outreach efforts.
  • Promote and execute online user experience methodologies that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Promote and execute testing to determine efficacy of strategy.
  • Optimize outreach to drive online awareness, increase opt-ins, and revenue.

Retention and Acquisition

  • Act as the voice of customers and the champion of all global acquisition and retention strategies related to achieving targets, in order to win digitally engaged, loyal donors as well as acquiring new highly valuable donors.
  • Ensure the online marketing strategy supports the overall CIEE brand and fundraising strategy Oversee email marketing and acquisition marketing programs and communication strategy.
  • Responsible for high-performing digital programs across all channels: web, email, social media, etc.
  • Develop new acquisition programs to drive awareness and engagement and bring new donors to CIEE.
  • Forecast and deliver on volume, costs, and revenue targets for all acquisition programs.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience with audience segmentation and persona development.
  • Analytical and critical thinker; ability to identify insights and propose recommendations based on data.
  • Utilize data and insights to help set and reach goals and benchmarks.
  • Fundraising and/or sales experience with a preference for Annual Fund.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter; manage multiple projects and schedules.
  • Able to gather, evaluate, synthesize, and effectively present data/information regarding assigned issues/topics.
  • Is a creative thinker and is resourceful; solution-oriented, willing to propose ideas and recommendations.
  • Good working knowledge of applicable software, CRM’s, marketing automation, and platforms to support responsibilities, and is comfortable learning new software programs.

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 5 years of experience in annual fund and/or digital marketing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, donor management systems, or other relevant tools.
  • A passion for international education, cultural exchange, and CIEE’s mission. Preference for previous CIEE involvement.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
