We are seeking a Digital Sales Specialist for Wellness group which produces very successful events in NY, Las Vegas, and Palm Beach and IBS events, and the publications American Salon and American Spa.

As a Digital Sales Specialist  you will serve as a strategic marketing consultant to your clients to help achieve their marketing objectives.  The ideal candidate has experience has experience working with clients on B2B marketing, media sales, and social media. You will be responsible for managing and developing a sales territory and working all phases of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.  In addition, we are looking for the Account Executive to contribute ideas to develop new digital revenue opportunities and customer bases.

As our Digital Sales Specialist, you’ll support Questex’s success by:  

  • Meets or exceeds forecasted sales (digital, marketing services). Annual territory will be $500K+ 
  • Collaborates with the event sales teams to coordinate digital sales strategy alongside exhibition sales efforts within accounts. 
  • Satisfies the needs of clients using a consultative selling style while being personable, professional and accommodating in manner. 
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the market and culture in order to attract new customers/business. 
  • Performs extensive research on marketplace developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts (tiered) for follow-up process. 
  • Confers with sales management and other sales staff to develop growth opportunities. 
  • Maintains strong industry credibility through visible attendance at trade shows and other product presentations, staying updated on new developments and technologies and communicating this information to both key existing accounts and potential new accounts. 
  • Identifies and/or maximizes the sales opportunity for assigned new business properties in assigned tier of customer categories and determines actions to be taken on certain tier accounts. 
  • Generates direct sales from cold calling, follow up calling and face-to-face meetings. 
  • Maintains and utilizes Salesforce database for all client contact and scheduling. Forecasts and reports revenue by maintaining sales pipelines within assigned territory. 

Your Experience and Education Include

  • Minimum 1- 2 years’ experience in B2B digital media sales experience.    
  • Excellent presentation, writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills  
  • The ability to be a strong and savvy negotiator  
  • A strong sense of organization with strict attention to detail  
  • Ability to listen, adapt, and think quickly on your feet

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50K to $65K base plus a commission package. Salary offers are based on a broad scope of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, geographic and organizational factors are also considered.
