The Global Market Director - Aerospace will be responsible for accelerating growth in the global commercial aerospace and space industries by identifying, evaluating, and pursuing opportunities for sales of specialty metal products. This role requires deep market knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong customer relationship skills to effectively position our product offerings and drive growth.
The Global Market Director will work in collaboration with all business segments, Technology & Innovation, Customer Technical Support, as well as Sales & Product Management to identify growth opportunities, contribute to the long-term technology roadmap, and discover new revenue sources.
You will have the opportunity to:
Analyze aerospace and space industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify market opportunities for specialty metal products
Develop and implement strategic plans to capture new business and expand existing accounts within commercial aerospace and space segments, including price/performance analysis on market attractiveness
Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and strategic partners
Execute a yearly business plan to support aggressive annual growth and profit objectives. Collaborate closely with internal sales, technical, and product development teams to clearly articulate value propositions and tailor product offerings to customer requirements
Track and report on market activities, customer feedback, and sales performance metrics to senior management
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and promote specialty metal solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical, material science or engineering field or equivalent
Advanced degree in technical field, marketing, business or finance preferred
Minimum 15 years progressive experience in sales, marketing, technical, or business development roles within the aerospace industry
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing market strategy with a strong track record for profitable growth
Strong knowledge of specialty metals, aerospace materials, or related technical products
Demonstrated ability to identify and convert market opportunities into business results
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to travel as required to meet customers and attend industry events (approx. 25-50% travel)

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
