As a ServiceNow Business Analyst (Expert/Consultant level) in the Business Applications team within IS&T, you’ll act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Leveraging your deep understanding of both business operations and the ServiceNow platform, you'll be instrumental in driving impactful solutions that optimize and automate business processes.
You will be responsible for providing advanced technical solutions to streamline and optimize business processes utilizing the ServiceNow platform.
You’ll work cross-functionally with customer and technical teams to gather and document requirements, design and test solutions, and promote the adoption of ServiceNow capabilities across the organization—all within an Agile framework.
Evangelize/Promote the use of ServiceNow’s capabilities for companywide adoption and use.
Day In The Life
Business Process Analysis: Analyze and evaluate existing business processes; identify opportunities for automation and improvement using ServiceNow.
ServiceNow Expertise: Design and implement innovative solutions utilizing the full capabilities of the ServiceNow platform, including AI features.
Moveworks Expertise: Apply knowledge of Moveworks to enhance user experience and streamline interactions.
Testing & QA: Create and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of delivered solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address challenges.
Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation including requirement specs, process flows, training guides, and user manuals.
Communication: Provide clear, consistent communication across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
Training & Support: Deliver end-user training sessions and develop supporting materials to facilitate smooth adoption and usage.
ITIL Practices: Apply ITIL best practices to drive operational efficiency and service delivery excellence.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
10+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration and development, with deep knowledge of ITSM best practices.
Proven expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional ownership of the ServiceNow platform.
Experience working with ServiceNow AI.
Experience with Moveworks (preferred).
Proven success in managing platform migrations (e.g., Jira to ServiceNow).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, DSDM).
Experienced in driving cross-functional meetings.
Comfortable working independently and coordinating with external vendors.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-starter attitude.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
