Brown & Brown is seeking an Insurance Advisor to join our growing team!
The Insurance Advisor acts as a subject matter expert to shoppers for all things related to Small Business and/or Personal Insurance needs and provides leadership as needed in the absence or direction of the VP of Sales. In this role, the Insurance Advisor makes recommendations on coverage based on information obtained through a curated interview process with the shopper. The Insurance Advisors' primary responsibilities are to sell insurance and grow the organization's book of business while maintaining profitability and operating with integrity. Personal lines or commercial lines discipline will be assigned based on departmental needs.
How You Will Contribute
Strong team player and ability to work independently to achieve individual, team, and company-based goals or objectives.
Handle any related shopper/customer inbounds, digital bind requests, and related customer follow-ups in a timely fashion.
Outbound dialing will be required for purchased data leads
Always provide excellent customer service to ensure high NPS & CSAT. (net promoter scores & customer satisfaction)
Assist Customers with the policy purchase process, verifying all the policy information prior to binding, processing payments, assisting customers with the DocuSign process, and reviewing settlement sheets for accuracy while maintaining compliance standards.
Alert Team Lead or other members of the leadership team of system or carrier issues.
Attend training for our Insurance Carrier partners.
Maintain current knowledge of our guidelines and procedures through provided training, materials, and educational resources.
Responsible for keeping P&C license and continuing education up to date and within good standing.
Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to the company's culture and vision.
Licenses and Certifications:
State Issued Property and Casualty Insurance License
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Highschool Diploma or GED
Prior experience in commercial insurance
1 – 3 years of experience in a sales position (preferred)
SMB (Small and Medium Business) insurance experience
Call Center Experience (preferred)
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Proficient with MS Office Suite and Google Suite
Technology savvy, driven to learn new systems and disciplines with ease
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Pay Range
$24.00 - $26.00 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
