Altera has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. To expand the technology that provides us with advantages in programmable solutions, we are looking for a FPGA IP Software Development Engineer-Intern to join our high-powered team.

This is a 3-month paid part-time (20hr/week) internship in Altera's Product Enablement Group, working on software and hardware design reconfigurable compute platforms. The expected work tasks include:

  • Developing a compiler frameworks

  • SW-HW architecture design

  • Performance modeling and physical design validation

Salary Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor within the US market. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, FT/PT status, etc.

Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a Degree in an Engineering related field and experience in:

  • Generator-style RTL development

  • Circuit-level and physical design in a reasonably modern (e.g., FinFET) process node

  • Computer architectures and mapping DSP/ML/AI compute kernels to hardware

  • Self-driven to learn about new applications, tools, and methodologies and strong teamwork/communication skills
