This position is responsible for achieving the distribution profitability goals for assigned national brokers across the US, ensuring optimal alignment between the various business units’ target appetites and the national broker’s book of business to maximize our profitable growth opportunities. Responsible for developing and executing initiatives to position CNA as a market leader and remain responsive and opportunistic in a rapidly changing distribution environment. Works in conjunction with home office and regional sales and production executives to drive CNA’s distribution strategy to advance CNA’s market share, visibility and brand. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
The role is responsible for ensuring optimal alignment between all CNA business units’ target appetites and the books of business of agents/brokers in the region to maximize our profitable growth opportunities.
Must be familiar with all CNA business products, strategic business appetites, and overall profitability strategy as defined be executive senior leadership team.
The role will generate prospects for their assigned brokers to match strategic appetite for each business unit (BU).
Create, nurture, and foster strong relationships with key brokers nationwide and work closely with the Regional Field Leaders to ensure local office accountability towards the achievement of the national annual production and profitability plan.
Develop an intimate understanding of the brokers business model, organizational design, portfolio mix, and areas of expertise to ensure the highest-level partnership and maximize the flow of prospects towards CNA based on each business unit’s target appetite.
Acts as the main relationship manager with assigned national brokers to ensure all servicing needs are effectively met.
Builds strategically aligned distribution channels to increase pipeline and promote revenue growth.
Works in collaboration with Marketing to promote appetite and product communication.
May lead, direct and have full management accountability for a team with an emphasis on talent development and succession planning in accordance with corporate strategic direction.
Provides strategic input into elements of producer compensation including contingent commission programs, panels and any other supplemental compensation offerings.

Expert communication skills which are critical to building consensus across area of influence (external and/or internal relationships), team, and/or matrix environment.
Extensive knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance distribution and trends.
Strong producer relationships with global and regional brokers.
Ability to use data and analytics, creativity and intuitiveness to resolve unique and challenging business issues.
Superior leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to drive change.
Ability to drive results by identifying and resolving significant problems within scope of responsibility and influence upward and downward.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Senior level knowledge of the insurance industry, its products and services.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
Working knowledge and experience with independent broker networks.
Education & Experience
1) Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required with MBA or equivalent preferred.
2) Minimum 12 years of related experience; preferably in both broker and carrier roles in both field and home office environments.
3) Minimum 8 years of leadership roles in insurance industry organizations preferred.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $194,000 to $308,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
