About the role

We are seeking an experienced IFRS accounting and reporting specialist to join our dynamic and ever-expanding Finance team at Pleo. In this role, you will play a crucial part in elevating the quality and precision of our monthly financial reporting, building on a solid foundation to deliver truly exceptional results. Additionally, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations across Pleo's EMEA entities, ensuring seamless and efficient processes. What you’ll be doing 

As an IFRS accounting and reporting specialist, you will:

  • Be responsible for the monthly accounting close and reporting for Pleo’s entities - calculating IFRS adjustments, variance analysis, and commentary thereof.
  • Be a subject matter expert in IFRS and statutory financial reporting framework. 
  • Be a key point of contact for the completion of statutory audits of European entities including statutory financial statement preparation, coordination with external audit firms and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in managing the day to day accounting operations including oversight of accounts payable, expense processing and operational banking matters.
  • Participate in preparing financial analysis for regulatory reporting required for regulators.
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place, documented and regularly reviewed for EMEA entities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
  • 5+ years progressive experience in an accounting, finance or audit role (PQE an advantage).
  • Be a fully qualified member of any of the following - CPA/ CA/ ACCA/ CIMA required.
  • Proven experience with IFRS and / or US GAAP.
  • Experienced in international statutory audit and compliance.
  • Experience succeeding in a dynamic, fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly entrepreneurial business environment.
  • Extensive NetSuite experience is highly advantageous. 
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal) and partnership skills.
