This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Managed Services Provider.  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 4 Senior HP-UX and Linux Compute Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of HP-UX and Linux systems and demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills. This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex compute environments.

This position is supported by a 24x7x365 team, but occasional evening and weekend work maybe required to handle emergencies or perform system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in HP-UX and Linux system administration and engineering.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), HP-UX CSA (Certified Systems Administrator), or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in shell scripting, automation tools, and performance tuning. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, including project management and team mentoring.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a HP_UX / Linux Experience
  • Deep expertise in the administration of Linux / Unix systems.
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • 15+ years of prior HP-UX or Linux Compute administration experience in complex corporate or enterprise environments.
  • Prior experience in a Managed Services Provider or Customer Facing role.
